My Uni joint on the tail shaft is phucked As I understand they are pressed from factory on the utes and I require a whole new tailshaft! Is their an alternative such as machining a replacement on or am I left to cut and shut the tailshaft using a replaceble uni (bluebird yolk and flange)??

Both of mine were shot when I went for rego, so luckily they replaced the worst one only and it past rego inspection. The cost was $135 for one (thats why I didnt get two done, ie front and rear). They must break them appart or something because mine has four or so tack welds to hold it back together. Sounds dodgy but I have never had a problem!
