I am getting this on the way, finally.

The manufacture process is pretty complicated for such a simple item but I cannot get a hold of a complete item.

Process involves 2D cutting, utilising two layers to bring the bridge that goes across the bottom of the letters but have it recessed like the factory item. I could easily get them done other wise but that bridging piece ought to be recessed like the factory item.

Following that the pieces are then polished and cleaned and then cast in bronze. Following the casting the pieces are cleaned and de-burred, polished again and then chromed. I will also supply the little clips to secure it.

They should be absolute replica's of the factory item except stronger and missing one minor detail so we can still distinguish between original and repro.

Costs are still up in the air. But show interest here and I can gauge numbers and get quotes.

Just a thought
how about flat stainless laser cut
with some artistic licence involved
and going for with thin piece underneath
to hold the letters together and even
a race flag with cutout checkers to
reveal the duco color underneath?

Here it is, this is a life size image of the badge, I checked it myself. Print it out on A4 paper, landscape.

Print it out and see if it's 21.5cm across and letters 2.5cm high. If it is, cut it out and glue it on your car!

Note that the badge is actually written in italics. I checked all the thickness of the letters on my printed out badge and my real one, it's bang on.

Let me know if you need to know the thickness of the badge since there is a back plate with the lines on it running across the bottom.

Thanks Kent, sorry no stick-ons for me I'm going for the real deal. I can't download from that link, but that is fine as all I need is the dimensions.

I have the badge drawn and completed I just needed to confirm dimensions, thanks for your help.

Badge thickness is 5mm or 6mm depending.

D I don't know if you've read what I wrote or if you misunderstood it but the item is 2 layers, cut 2 dimensionally. The pieces are laminated, cleaned & polished, cast, cleaned, polished, chromed. Thanks for the other suggestions, those are done already.
