thats different and not how they're supposed to be used ... i'll be running something like this with my 4 link setup http://www.mcdonaldbrosracing.com.au/spaxadjustable.html they weld to the back of the diff and you have to put a re-enforced section on the chassis to mount them

yeh dd i have never seen them be used like that, not sure it would be very affective lol..

What aidaniel has linked to is what ill be using in my sedan when i do some tub work later on.

Setup on my sports sedan is similar.
Coilovers mount to reinforced and braced shock mounts.
Seems to work just fine

would work fine, would depend on what size spring your using i'd guess. it is a bit weird though i've never seen coilovers and leafs used together

im currently doing this to my track coupe, theres only a few thingd you have to do and is quite effective, its been used for ages in all different tyes of motorsport, its a cost effective alternative to 4 link

It's an awesome setup, handles very well.

Just a little edit to my previous post.
My car does have a 4 link .
I can still see this working if the leaf springs are supersoft and used more as a locator
