hi i have recently bought a datsun 120y and want to replace the tauto trasnmission oil because it gone brownish burnt colour so i was wandering how you would go about empting the torque coverter as i dont want to leave any old fluid in there!
is there any way to blow it out with compresed air from near the filter maybe???

Brownish burnt color is normal. Other types use thee red color. But if it smells burnt, go ahead and change it.

To empty the converter, turn it so the drain is at the bottom, then remove the convert drain. If your's doesn't have one you can [edit: crank ] the engine for a few seconds with the pan off, it'll pump the converter out.

so does the 120y have a tourque converter drain plug i never knew it did!
