as most of you know i have recently rebuilt my a12 engine its all up and running just have a few problems!

firstly in the owners manual it says the car should idle at 750rpm at 7 degres btdc on p my engine at the moment is at 1000rpm at idle in p if i try to got lower it starts shaking badly when put in drive!

also the engine idles okay at 1000rpm but why does the engine sort of go high and low at idle on the tacho it goes up and down like 50rpm??

thanks!

when you set your initial timing, do you have your dizzy advance hooked? what about the point clearance, how wide do you set it?
