hi, im new and just got a 1200 ute, 1974 model that you have to hang onto the steering wheel to go around corners. Suspension is fine, its the seats. Apart from race seats, what will bolt straight in and offer support at the same time. mik h melbourne

It depends entirely on your budget. I got my std seats retrimmed with extra padding to stop my butt & sholders from sliding around so much. That was fairly cheap. A mate of mine put CRX seats into a coupe. They fit really well, but U have to make up new brackets to mount them and that only took 2hrs. Or U could just go down to Playtime, steal some seats off daytona & bolt them down with tech-screws, not sure if they R legal though. Has your ute still got the front drumo's? Mely

do u still have the original seats? if so, hang onto them, because they are worth a bit -i found some in good nik, and got them for $100, but later i found that people are willing to pay double that..... another option is to get the original brackets grafted onto a newer seat - 1200 brackets are flat, and easy to bolt onto other seats. cheers, Linc. Utes rock!
