Cheers for the info fellas!,

Jesse, cheers for the borgy, still might take you up on it might try for the H165 first.

Sounds good rubes, the R31 will be my backup if this H165 proves too stressfull to make happen

Ok so i have two questions then!

1. What model bluey did the H165 come out in? or if they know of one about.
I have quokka and gumtree at hand ready to spring on one once i know the model.
Failing that
2. Does anyone have a R31 diff they would like to sell, or know of where one is i can procure for my coupe?

I've got it stuck in my brain to use the H165, dunno why it just appeals to me more than the R31 option but at this point i'm ready to whack anything in...almost

I pulled a Vanette to bits 12 months or so ago mainly for the diff centre and a few other bits.It was an early model with the 1200 motor 4 on the tree and H165 rear end. What i found once removing the axles was, totally differant brakes, backing plates and fittings etc.massive bearings(compared to the 165 ute)and also slightly wider axles but don't remember how much,so as a result after removing the pumpkin and the other stuff i wanted i shoved the ales back in so i could move it and took it down to sims metal to get some cash back.
Hope this helps.Cheers
