if you use two part epoxy it'll be much stronger & chip resistant then regular 2K black paint, 3M makes a product called Schutz that worked pretty good....

you could also use a sound deading coating like Lizard Skin or something similar & just roll it on but I'd make sure its meant to move a bit - i.e. flexible somewhat

I mean inner guards in general.. ie around the wheel arches etc :) i ended up 2 pac black the lot. seam sealed it all and did it right the first time :)

innergaurd sound gaurd is the product 2 use its sound deadener and it looks good cost about $40 to do all 4 inner gaurds
