...middle of the Pacific. I just arrived in Maui, Raining and cool in Seattle this morning, yet it's Sunny and hot here middle of the afternoon.

This weekend is drag racing event on the island. I'll keep my eye out for this beauty, but last I heard the owner was racing a Datsun 720 pickup.

Aloha DD
good to hear you are at the races rather than
disturbing Hula girls like I would have done.
I wonder when someone will do up a 720 drag ute
to fit the TB48DE like in Arabia Sand drags.
6 seconds for sure

haha, I'm not even half way, it was only 5.5 hours from Seattle to Maui at 600mph.

Went the the drag races tonight at Maui Raceway Park and found out the the 1200 guy has moved to Las Vegas. No word on what happened to the two 1200s that used to be here.

Saw a couple of 720s

Love the paint job on the one with the 'chutes.

Not to be nit-piky, but wasnt the 720 a 4wd version and the 620 the 2wd? or is that an AUS only thing?

620 was 2-wd only.
720 came in both 2wd or 4wd

that Maui weather's nice, pretty temperate - 80's, nice in the afternoon, it was nice in Feb when I went. Maybe Seattle will stop having winter soon.

I dunno what happened to the 1200, but the owner moved to California and now races a 510.

I'm having lunch now at cheeseburger in paradise, ready to head to the airport.
