I'm not sure what it would cost but I have a friend who loves to use his bead-blaster so I gave him my carb and it came back sooo clean.
made it look brand new.

incredients:-
a rag
a toothbrush
700ml turkey,2litres cola

method:-
mix turkey and cola to taste and consume
repeat until carby looks better(shinny)(blurrey)or until you fall over!!
use rag to clean yourself up in the morning
use toothbrush to get rid of the fury tongue
now the carby looks dull again ,so process must be repeated

better yet
700ml turkey Rare Breed

rag
2 litres coke
bucket
ice
glass

put ice in glass, pour turkey

fill bucket with 2 litres of coke or until it covers the carby and place carb in coke overnite
sit back on porch or back yard put on some rolling stones doors or led zep and drink the night away knowing you could be working hard.

coke can make coins look like new again so why not a carb. just remove needles jets and the rest of that. buy a rebuild kit $30 and in 2 days you will have a nice clean carb.

just remember to rinse afterwards
