Forget all the bullshit you hear about 200hp+ A-Series

I think it should be HP as 154 RWHP is a HUGE amount and from what i have tried about the most you will see.

But still an amazing car.

Definitely not Lexan dont worry SSSKIWI I was using DDs joke
to voice my long time fascination with Lexan and my disgust
at annoying stone chips that ruined my newly fitted 1000 glass.
on more than one occassion 1 month apart.

Even the 154kw atw is Photoshopped ;) The main issue is that
most journos try to put more zing into the details when in
reality the drivers skill is more important than HP.

Dont worry guys it was NZPC error. The power is actually 208hp at the engine not the wheels. Still no mean feat. This car completely destroyed the under 1600cc class and im pretty sure always top 3 outright. Its even won a few races outiright if I recall correctly. Beating out some of the 4wd turbo machinery. Probably helps he can drive the pants of the thing!

154kw atw is achievable if you throw enough time and money at it. Small capacity motors can be made to make good figures at high rpm but it will sacrifice torque. Alot of people sacrifice a heavier engine to get better torque at lower rpm which ultimately = better reliability. Plus guys get sick of tipping heaps into old engines only to get much lower figures than that of more modern multi valve engines that are almost stock.

Sure some do embelish on figures, and some opponents do it to justify why they got beaten. The SR boys chasing D's wagon through the twisties is a classic example. I'll bet my right nut that they didn't believe the wagon was basically stock.

Believe, don't believe. Who gives a crap if the power figure is true or false. Enjoy the car for what it is. A well crafted race car. Personally I hope that the new conversion doesn't ruin the characteristics of the car that have made it so successfull to date.
