Just cruising the net, realised i dont have/havent played Gran Turismo 5. I noticed the PS3 is down to $300 so it might be time to invest

But, then i looked at Forza to see a new one (number 4) is coming out on october 20th... only 6wks away

Just wondering if GT5 is worth buying a PS3 for, or should i just hang out for the new Forza cause i have a 360

Personally i have always preferred Forza in the past as more realistic driving, but i have loved both games........hmm just did tax, could definitely afford the PS3

I've had a similar dilemma bout to buy a ps3 or 360, but ps3 might win for blu ray and the hd digital tuner option.

Playing both at the shop, forza was more realistic but yet easier to play for me. But gt5 has some great tracks. The dynamics are still great if not better but walked away cause I didn't find it as fun to play- was more like a challenge and was a bit tiresome. Forza at least you can do some crazier mods on the cars

The new driver game was good too- I remember wasting hours in the original ps1 game- and the new one is close to forza for dynamics in some respects but it will be on ps3 and 360

Carmagedon us good. Haven't played it in years! I don't have much time GOR games so it's pointless buying a pure gaming console. I didn't enjoy gt4 but on the psp I have gt1 and gt2, remember the originals from 1996 or so. I enjoy gt1 far mote than gt4, 5 was better than gt4 too.

Wonder what the next gta will be lol. There's hours of driving and hilarity too

lol - carmagedon YES!

i get the feeling they will manage to ruin it in the remake - hopefully they prove me wrong

yes GT1 + GT2 and FORZA 1 must be played to completion.... but the rest since never gave me that desire....

I find i love playing them from the cheap cars through to the supercars but beyond that into the race cars just bore me as the cars lose character

I'm not a console man so my pick for racing games is a little dated. Live for Speed and Rfactor are two great highly modable pc games, excelent car tunability, excellent driving dynamics ect. I'm not fussed by 100% graphics so I tend to play older games longer, I'd still be playing need for speed one if I could get it running on windows 7 already

i have to agree GT1 and GT2 were the best driving games ever then the soul got sucked out of them like todays music scene. forza has been pretty good.
