When are you coming to the states..and what state? Can you bring a Hurricane header for a Mazda 1200 TB equipped engine part number HU105ST?
I have a H150 diff that I might remove in December...So if anyone is interested in that...5 speeds are over $700 thanks to the MG guys!
Cadillac parts plentiful here as well as Camaro parts...Holleys mostly for V8s.

Well I leave this week for the east coast. I'll keep an eye out for some 60 series 5 speed transmissions. So cable, not hydraulic?

Would be nice to try to find a classic Jap swap meet.

I've been in the US now for over a week for the Christmas break. I still haven't found any 60A 5-speed transmissions. I did purchase a brand new Weber 32/36 Datsun kit in the state of Connecticut however. I hope it will work on RHD ???

The weber 32/36s here are the same as in AUS.

We have no cable-clutch transmission. However all you have to do it cut out the oval shape casting in the bell. They have the hole for the cable already.

I have a 60-series dogleg for A14/A15, they are about $400. The non-doglegs are $700 cleaned/inspected or $500 used. There are some out here on West Coast. On the East Coast the cars rust away in about 5 years, so there are a lot less vintage cars.

Cool thanks for the info DD. You are right about the cars on the east coast. The climate here is lethal to all vehicles. It's all the rain, snow, ice and salt.

With the weber carbs, doesnt the throttle cable come in from the other side to the carb or can the carb be flipped around on the manifold? Hope that makes sense?

With a Datsun 1200, the throttle cable comes in from the right side, across the rocker cover and to the carburetor which is on the left side of the engine -- both for LHD and RHD 1200s. The only difference is the length of the cable.

Weber carbs don't have accelerator cables, that is provided by the car. Some "kits" may include brackets for the stock cable, but if not, you can bolt the stock Hitachi throttle wheel onto the Weber and fabricate a simple cable holder. In either RHD or LHD it is the same.
