No quarter mile run yet Bart. This summer was not good for racing with my recent move to my new house. Also this is the best that the car has been tuned. Plug gap and ignition timing has been the issue. Tighter the gap, the better it ran. I stopped at .028. Timing is set around 15 degrees advanced. I shut the idle screw on one of the carbs completely off and turned the fuel pressure down to 3 psi. With the regulator I still get around 6 psi at boost. I went to a bigger crank pulley for the Supercharger. It boost a lot quicker now. I have a line locker for the front brakes but if im not in the burn box, the lock wont hold the car. With the H190 fully locked up. I get full traction off the line. I would like to get an exhaust header before I get it dyno'd. Nothing has been done to the head. The engine is fully stock. With time and money I would like to pick up a second engine over the winter and do a build but if I did that, I might as well find a KA24DE. The 4.88 gears in the rearend are to low. I would like to be able to find something around a 4.11. First gear doesn't last long. I bought a car trailer late this last summer so I can do some more traveling. It was a pain to borrow and worse to drive the car to the track and have something break like my driveline did this past summer. Ill video more of the car inside and out.

Why not dyno it before and after instalilng the header? That way you'll know if it makes more power, and at which RPMs it is worse.
Some headers make it worse, especially if the jetting is off.

And a header cost money. Just ordered Pace Setter header online. I hope it fits. I only have about 2 inches between the stock header and the steering box.

So I got my new header to fit but I had to flatten the pipes next to the steering box. I didn't want to do that but it was the only way to get it in. The flow will be hinder a bit but I guess its ok. Nothing else I could do about it. I had to reconfigure the lower part of the header to clear the transmission for a 3 bolt connecting flange to the remainder of the exhaust pipe. It came with a slip fit pipe but I didn't want to use that. I hope to get down to the muffler shop to finish the job. I ordered a Lean/Rich Ratio gauge and also an electric fuel pressure gauge to put in the car. Finishing up some minor stuff. Deciding if I should go with a second MSD spark box for the exhaust plugs. Only have one on the intake plugs. Coming along good. Pictures shortly!!!

have the muffler shop guy put a bung into the head pipe for the ox sensor if you hadn't thought of that already. I planned on ding that and running the same A/F gauge for jetting purposes.

Second set of sparks should give some gains. Alfa romeo has been at it for the last 50 years or more. Are there any members on your side of the pond that have done a steering rack conversion? Oldskool Mazda guys chop Miata ones.

Well I decided to scrap the header project. I'm out 150 dollars. I figured with a tight fit and the flattened pipes, the flow was gonna be horrible. The stock header has a good design. So now waiting for some parts to show up from Summit Racing.

well see, your smarter then me cuz I forgot to have the exhaust guy put one in when I had him cut & re-route the pipe. I planned on it, just didn't remember it. I may run it through emissions just to see where it at currently.
Bummer about the header, I hate wasting money like that but sometimes it can't be helped - you just dont know until you try something.
Can't you just split the MSD box & send the signal to both sides of the head? Wouldn't it have enough juice for that? I'd think you'd be able to double wire it directly from the box to each coil, matter of fact you could temp wire double ends to it & check it with a meter to see if it was equal output.
