What's wrong with an A13?

Nothing wrong with an A13, unless of course it was actually a steel headed J13.

The rocker cover although similar is slightly wider and squatter, the corners are more rounded as well and the embossed datsun title is much different.

Water outlet, water inlet, fan, carby, inlet manifold exhaust manifold, cylinder head, columnshift GB, block, fuel pump etc etc are also different.

It's a J-series. That's what's wrong with it. Sure they work and run but the extra weight would make this a down grade to a A12. They aren't the liveliest of engines either.

It's not my business really but I'd hate to see someone buy it in a hurry only to be disappointed when they receive it.

EDIT: Actually isn't it an E-1? Datsun 320?

its bullshoit!! rare this, hard to get that, i have recently been givin stoopid prices on #OOPS# and kinda sick of it. I have a coupe, that im sellin bits off to others cheap to help other so called 'DATSUN ENTHUSIASTS' and then gettin reamed tryin to buy shoit for my own car! Not droppin names, but us 'older' datsun people, maybe not so inclinded to help the 'younger' ones

Yeah but its a datsun and its got an "A" cast on it therefore it could only be an A13. NOT!!

What is a REAL running A13 short block or tall block worth??
and how rare are they in Oz?
