Yeah I agree with K-Dogg, rat look is there... Now you need to slam it on red rims with whitewalls and sling a beasty A-series under the bonnet

beatties/bens looks ok not over low, the first one I dont like, every time i see that done to any old classic. At least it would be on the road and not in the paddock, but with that ride height u would be askin to be put straight back off the road by the bacon.

time to start this thread up again....

I have got wheels on the car now, picked up a set of 12x5/5.5 hotwires for the princley sum of 20 dollars, AND the guy delivered them to me(he lives about an hour away) and they had legal tread on as well!

Anyway, i got my old man to clean out his shed of all my old datto parts from about 11 years ago, and bring them down to me, now i have an L16 and 4sp gearbox with P510 xmembers, twin su setup and a few other manifolds and carbs(weber side draught stuff but needs work) and a 4.89:1 r180 and heaps of other bits...

SSS 1600 wooden steering wheel was a nice surprise, i forgot i owned that.

What i want to know is, will the l16 engine xmember fit, or is it easier to modify the stock xmember?

bloody wife spotted the original colour behind the window rubbers, and now its not going the ratwagon sytle. it will be the original light blue, granny shade on the windscreen and venetians in the rear. but its getting a quad throttle sr20de and auto(daily duties)
and hopefully i can squeeze some ROTA shakotans on it, i imagine 15x7 is too big but im goin to try anyway.

here is some pics of the progress so far
