Thanks guys!
I'm a Datto fan from way back, my first datsun was a 120Y Coupe, I was 16, paid $100 for it and drove it 1000kms non stop from Sydney to Deniliquin, it didnt miss a beat never broke down and after 12months of owning it, it was beyond economical repair for rego and I sadly had to part with it.
This is my 5th Datsun, I've owned (and wish I still had them all) the 120Y Coupe, 200B SSS, 1200 Sedan, 120Y Wagon and now this GL, each one of them had their reasons why i should've kept them, the SSS for obvious reasons, but the wagon had the A12T engine (not the original fitment!), at the time I didnt really know what I had, until long after I had sold it, the 1200 just coz they are #OOPS#in awesome! :)

I'll be getting Minnie's front end stripped down in the coming weeks, ive got a garage that needs sorting out before I get started, so I can make way for the engine and trans to be stored.
I'll be getting whatever rust that is there ground back and treated to help stop it in its tracks, then organise to get repairs done and painted.
I'll concentrate on the front end for the most part, that'll determine how I go about tackling the rest of the car.

Pics WILL follow ;)

It's kinda sad really, even in the Datsun world, the 120Y is not really a sought after choice of car to "do up" or held in high regard ... thats why we exist

Its a way off from doing yet, but with the street sleeper style ive got in mind, Im going to be putting on a set of white walls, but im stuck on rim size ... Not overly concerned on having wide tyres, was thinking 14's?
I think anything bigger than that, then I'd have rego issues?
