DD - thats a 3.7L V6. Its pretty sweet for a 6 banger.

As for Datsuns, I'm a 720 guy before becomming a 1200 fan and own 3 720s so that you found one is pretty cool.

LOL at least you guys in the US got heaps of transporting options.

Mazda knows how to design engines for Ford while they where still under Ford ownership. The CX9 was the first of the 3.7 MZI-Duratec v6 now the mustang has the 227kw/280 lb ft version its actually a good looking engine for a modern v6.

the engine has no personalty. Its just a big ball of motive force. No distinctive sound just incredibly flat torqu curve. and the car seems much larger than it is, not in a good way.

Reminds me of the 1200 in one way. The headrests stick out too far, its only comfortable if you drive with the seat leaned way back. Typical American junk seats. When we bought our truck it was the same - every Ford version had terrible seats yet every Mazda had fine seats - even though both were built by.Ford

But is does look nice

You get 'distinct sound' once you dump most of the sound deadener, the choked up exhaust and a free flowing intake duct devoid of muffling devices.

well it already has a free flowing exhaust... Its been proven that a quiet muffler can be free flowing. The GT model is for those that want noise

Spot on about the sound deadener. Usually all I can hear is the road noise.

Too bad theres too much traffic.here to let er rip
