Hi sumith,

I also had the same problem i solved this by changing Carburetor main jets to standard sizes. And i change spark plugs to NGK BP5ES. In Sri Lanka you can buy jets with carburetor repair kits.

I think you better read these topics also

Ah, whenever a "kit" contains jets, don't use the kit jets! Use the original jets that come with the carburetor. I've never seen a jet go bad, so it is surprising a kit would include them.

Hi DD

I had installed these sizes on mine which is almost closer to b310 manual except power jet

Slow Air bleed
Primary -100
secondary-170

Slow jet
Primary -43
Secondary 50

Main Air bleed

Primary -60
Secondary -80

Power Jet-50

Main Jets
i had 96 and 140 but installed only 140 with 75 primary main jet , i would install 75 and 105 back and see, because i can't install my repair kit primary main jet(96) to the housing it doesn't fit correctly

@Indika

is there any place we can buy only jets without complete rebuild kit in sri lanka ?
i went all around but couldn't find only jets without a repair kit, some repair kit doesn't have all requirement matching

thanks

sumith

Do not use any jet that come with a kit! Undoubtedly they will be the wrong ones!

There are dozens of different carburetors DCH306 carburetors, all with different jetting. The original jetting is specific to the exact carburetor. Changing the jetting drastically WILL NOT WORK correctly.

Jets DO NOT WEAR OUT and do not almost never need replacing. When we rebuild carburetors here (or in a commercial shop) we do not replace the jets.

Hi DD,

What is the reason for it why you saying that "Do not use Kit Jets" ? In sri lanka repair kits included jets also (made by japan)

Actually we cannot find the Original Jets the reason is earlier owners of the vehicle removed the original jets (sometimes we can find the original jets with whole carburetors which are selling for parts)

Sumith ,

I couldn't find any place for separate original Jets in sri lanka sometimes you can find same model carb with original jets @ Panchikawatte

Hi Indika

Ok then you are running standard size jets, so what is the average fuel consumption now ?

thanks

The jets are for a specific carburetor perhaps it says 1978 B210 with A12 engine. The kit label/box should be very specific. If it is not specifically labeled, then do not use the jets unless you confirm which jets the carburetor needs, although they can use the same gaskets and other parts.

The rest of the kit works with many variations of the carburetor -- most of which are incompatible with those jets.

Jets and venturis are matched. So putting jets for 20/26 venturi DCH306 into a 22/27 venturi DCH306 will be very incorrect. Minor variations are for fine tuning, but major changes are bad.

That is the thing , my b210 used to give me 18+ on long run but b310 gave me about 14 to 15 max so far,but are designed for best fuel economy on standard jetting
