Monsoon season in the tropics. Reminds me of the huge storm water drains when I loves in Singapore. 8 car lanes wide about 2-3 stories deep. Would overflow with rain.blocking off the 6 lane freeway next to it (3 lanes each side if drain). ah the days of drinking coke from plastics bags in.hawker markets and pure sugar cane juice.

The rain & sudden fierce storms in Malaysia was quite an eye opener. I visited on a trip in 93-4 & spent a week in Malaysia, you could be walking down the street with reasonably clear weather & within minutes have rain coming down at firehose proportions. It rains like hell here in Seattle but those types of storms are unusual here,they seemed common there.

Pretty wild to have streets flooded within minutes, I never knew rain could fall in that kind of volume until I visited Malaysia.
