Looking great, would go higher on the inlet ports and use modern combustion chamber like that on a Hayabusa. Might as well just
do a hayabusa head that can bolt onto an A series then we can
pinch all the aftermarket parts from them. Honda CBRXX also is good.

D the ports are about 40° at the moment. They still need a lot of work but at the moment I'm trying to get a complete model together. After the model is complete I still want to do some flow simulations and see what improvements came be made.
Here are a couple more screen shots of the inlet ports.

Great work keep at it and do it how you want its your project will you be producing these in the end or is this a modeling excersize i would be keen if they are an affordable power upgrade under 2k hope you mass produce these sell heaps and make your hard work pay off and be the first to get it done

Its really looking fantastic, when you get to the flow simulations it will be interesting how much a difference it will compare to tapered inlet runner and more angle as in the line indicators below.

Thanks for the comments guys. It is a very interesting wee project and I have been learning plenty along the way.

I have been doing some homework on the manufacturing and looking at pattern making and rapid prototyping etc. Are there any members on here that are pattern makers or have experience with casting or foundry work?

D what you have sketched is very much what I will be trailing with the flow simulations. The ports at the moment are far from ideal.

If its gets too pricey or out of reach theres an easier pushrods option like a version of the fueling 3 valve head which can be refined further.
Less material and simple rocker gear still using original camshaft in the block just head swap really with possible use of 4age weber manifold or other commonly available twin weber mani from similar bore spacings.

Hi Clyons8 I will flick you a PM. I have been mucking around with a 8v crossflow design off those old prints that are floating around of the AY12.

Hi Bede,

How is your design coming on? Came across this thread by accident and wondered how you were going with it?
