I like the L series too. pigdogs L sedan made,me want one. He went CA but in all honesty if your topping 100HP atw then leave it. Timing chain and all you could get another 40 years out of it.

Update;

Just lined up ca18det. waiting to move house before i begin the build.
also sourced loom and ca18det calipers.

Slowly starting to collect everything for ca conversion.

Going to stick with stock diff and the dr30 gbox thats already in to begin with.
Aready have s13 radiator in with the l20b.

Having fun sourcing the bits for this build.

So today i picked up an engine crane, engine stand and the motor has arrived :)

I knew I shouldn't have visited Port Douglas last year.....I should've waited till your ute was finished and was added to the list of tourist attractions.
I did see one 1200 ute in Cairns but it disappeared before I got a chance to check it out close up.

Hey mrbarista, I'm just getting l20b 1200 ute conversion underway. Does the ute drive as good as i imagine? and are you using the stumpy for your ca?
