We do not know. Look carefully at the breakdown diagram that comes with the carburetor kit.

Another cause could be the wrong jets. Ensure that the new jets are the same size as the old jets.

Hi guys

i put them together with old jets and it started but can't rev the engine it doesn't increase it rpm, it smokes and fuel smells a lot, help me if any one can what is the primary side of the card one side says 509 and the other side says 543, only thing that could happen now is i have mistaken the main jets,Carb is

Hi Guys

I found the dam thing , here we go, this is the exact model of carburetor i have on that car too, i have identified mistaken the main jets already( need to interchange Primary and secondary)

Metal seems to be missing at the edge of the screwdriver slots on the jets. This damage results if the screwdriver is:
1. held at an angle to the jet.
2. not fitting the jet snugly.
3. overtightening the jet.

If you want to remove those jets later, they may break instead of unscrewing. The purchase of a new carburetor would then be required.
