The guy is ingenious, took something cheap home and went from there and beat every japanese tinkerer of the A series from his backyard. Yet still remaining A series heart seems he wanted to be different, took the challenge stuck it to the haters and did it his way.
Sealed timing case area and pushrod cavities from oil, sorted water flow issues electric water pump similar front water outlet like on a late suzuki M series block or older Fiat Twin cam, 78 or 79mm mazda bores/slugs, crank snout sorted for belt cog and crank pulley, belt cog mounted instead of timing sprocket on cam and it keeps going.
Lemonheads big block had 82mm sleeved with room for 83.5 mm for future rebuilds
so 1800cc wouldnt be a bad way to go with the turbo bits from BPT in the 323 GTX or Ford laser TX3. The Mx5 guys are getting over 320hp with boosted b6.
http://7kyo.wordpress.com/2013/08/23/ ... ed-into-a-miata-bp-motor/Kia also uses these engines! just in case peeps cant find a head from Mazda
The rest is just ingenious and the options of the A series have taken a big boost!
