I'm looking for misc parts for my 73 Datsun 610 and am having a hard time finding anywhere that will be of help. I hope I'm not posting on the wrong site....I just really love this car and have found nothing that can help me with (it's a 2 door) rear window rubbers, rear side marker assemblies, seats, trunk rubber, and misc other things that may pop up as it goes along.

I hope I don't offend anyone here, as I KNOW this is a very old car....I just need a little help.

I also need someone who might be able to give me advice as to why it doesn't like to go above 60 without getting warm and at a VERY high rev (rpms).

If I need to post this on another site, please just say so and I'll quietly find another if possible....which I haven't had any luck finding.

for all your new rubbers, head to

Scotts Old Auto Rubber

if this guy doesn't have your rubbers, no-one will.

if you need taillights or anything, i have a spare set you can have for $AU50 the pair.

you'll probably get more info outof the guys at OZDAT in future though, this is a site dedicated to most things L series powered.

your 60 problem is fuel related. have your carby overhauled and it should run fine after that, but double check all of your ignition system, including timing. if it's not that, then it's clutch slippage.

Hi dreamer, Scott's Old Rubber has a good reputation, even with shipping to US it should be less expensive than the parts from your local Nissan dealer.

Keep in mind that old Datsuns do run at high revs, it will run about 3,000 rpm at 60mph -- this is normal.

Thank you guys so much for the speedy responses.

In response to your window rubbers, do you know the one's I am referring to specifically? Okay, see, I have a two door Datsun 610. The back windows DO roll down (not fixed as a non roll down window) and the rubber on both sides is gone....thus leaving a gap between the door window, and the back rolldown window....and there is where I need the rubber for. I'm including a picture of my problem....I've outlined the problem area in red.

I also have other pics of my car, just so you can see what I have. I know she's an old car, but I just love this car dearly. Here is a pic of the side marker light I need. This one has red tape in it temporarily until I can get a new one. I've also outlined this area in red.

Okay, thanks for all the responses so far...and thanks for all of you being so kind.

By the by, I've filled out my profile appropriately. I live in Shasta Lake, CA. 96019....if that helps.

Also, I need to figure out how to get the top off of the windshield wipers so I can tighten it up, as the wiper arms are VERY loose...and again, I've outlined the area in red (if the red in this one shows up...I've updated it):

How much what is in USD? You gotta get a price first. Exchange rate can be found at http://www.xe.com/ucc. Currently one AUD is equivalent to 69 cents US.

You can remove the windshield wipers from the shaft: there is a tab on it, push the tab up with a screwdriver, then wiggle the arms off the shaft.
[edit: correction: 1200s have a nut holding each wiper blade on]

Okay, but I need to know how to get off the plate around the wiper arms...there's a shaft under there (the wiper arms motor) that is loose, and if I can take off the top (grill), I can get to it and tighten it up.

I actually got the last new NOS pair of these in the US.

If it's like the 510, you just remove the 12mm nut on the base of the wiper arm, then it slides off. You then lift the hood, remove the screws at the base of the cowl panel (or scuttle if you prefer), and slide it off. And there you are.

If it's like a Z or a 1200, you'll have to access those wiper arms bits from behind the dash.
