Can you tell me where are the castings on the box as i have two 5 speeds that look exactly like what you have but in cant find any casting numbers or stamps?

One on the bell housing right side the 2nd is on the back left side near gear stick.
I could take it to a gear box shop to find out for shore.

Looks like a long l series box. Nothing special most likely. Even long box l series doglegs go for around $100 to 150.
Take it to someone that can confirm what it is first.

NMCA is Nissan Motor Co. pty Australia.

The "L5 NMCA" by the clutch fork - is it cast or is it stamped? On the tail housing does it say "NMCA #1"?

Can you post a photo of the shifter area at the back of the gearbox?
