890kg on the same scales yesterday. Changes since the last weigh-in are the L20, 63a 5spd, BW68 diff, turbo setup, 2.5" exhaust, big S13 radiator, 12" thermofan, half cage, seat mounts, a couple of gauges, S13 brakes, strut brace, and bigger Maddat sway bar. All adds up to 100kg. Not too bad at all.
My old L18 1200 coupe weighed 850kg
And the CA18 turbo 1200 coupe weighed 950kg
These are all with about 1/2 a tank of fuel
Took it for a decent drive yesterday to a mate's place about 120km away in the hills behind the sunshine coast. Bad news is the turbo seal is gone! Seriously smokey after long downhill runs where you're off the throttle, so the turbo's under high vacuum in a drawthru setup, and there's lots of oil in the inlet. :( Doesn't noticeably smoke on cruise and light acceleration. Otherwise it was great - surprisingly economical, driveability is awesome - smooth and responsive, and it ran nice and cool. No dramas whatsoever. Pretty happy with the handling too.
