Recent pics of the LZ14 powered Sunny Excellent owned by SS Kubo were up on Speedhunters today. Some of you might have missed them so I figured I'd post them here.

I wish I could get to Japan one day when one of these events is on, seeing all those classic Nissans in once place would be fantastic!

x2 - awesome stuff

quote about that car from the article "It didn’t take me long to find the fastest classic at the event – namely, this Sunny 1200 from Speed Shop Kubo. This is a car I see every year at the Nismo Festival, and I’m always amazed at just how fast these little ’70s Datsuns can be made to go with period upgrades. Like, way faster than race Hakosukas!"

The fastest lap records by b110 and b310 chasis for the last 15 years have been set by very worked 1303cc A-series running F5C56A gearboxes and lsd rear ends.
Waiting for the them to update their website...

Is that for the TS-A class? If so, that limited to 1300cc, and the LZ14 is not allowed to compete.

Those are lap records of all jcca cars/classes including gtrs and 240z.
Many people are not aware how quick this b110s and b310s are !!!

Have a look at the website link i provided and Maybe use google translator.
Also another interesting thing i came across is that the a12 powered cars are quicker than the a14 powered cars..No idea why but my guess would be the weight difference?

the problem with your story is you don't have any lap times for LZ14 1600cc cars to compare against, but still claim the 1300cc A series are faster. That's a big assumption. Dino from Speedhunters says he sees it every year at Nismo Festival at Fuji (not in your results) and it's the fastest. Miles faster than Hakos in fact. And the results you post for A series TS Cup racers are slower than Hakos at Fuji...
They were miles faster back in the 70s too - Nissan were tired of getting beaten in TS-a and TS-b (Hako GT-R), so built these LZ Sunny Excellents to try and win outright. On debut they took pole and a 1-2-3 race result ahead of every other car, not just the 1300cc A series you seem to think are unbeatable.
