The factory visqueen protects the door cards from moisture. The original door panels are made out of MDF-like fibreboard, the doors have polyethylene sheet applied with sealer before the door cards are fitted

The black bead of rubber sealant is similar to RTV

Ive used mdf for years in car audio installs but have recently changed to abs as temperature changes cause moisture no matter how well sealed, and we are talking 30+ years I know but most of the door cards are deteriorated by now so I'd be using a completely weather rated material. You are both right mdf would probably be fine if installed and sealed correctly.

Hey Dude, I need a stock (120Y) A13/14 camshaft as long as its not too badly worn; if I can get 2 of them even better. Let me know if you have any and the price.

Cheers, Richard

Youll only need the dash fascia and the instrument cluster you can use the rest. Got a feeling you have to switch a couple wires around in cluster plug, but that info is in the tech wiki. Do you want KPH cluster or coupe MPH one ? I have both and a good brown fascia. I dont have coupe style tacho but i do have a clock with the KPH cluster
