If Datsun 1600 rails will fit? I have found some Rx7 buckets with 1600 datsun rails. Will these fit my 120y?

not sure about the 1600 rails, but i know 200B seats fit the stock 1200 rails with a bit of work.

the outside bolts are the same spacing. but the inside bolts need to be welded to the rail. you could always make up a 6 or 8mm thick spacer plate and bolt to that instead though, i was just lazy...

Orsome. What are the 200b seats like? Are they more bucket than the 1200? Cuz man, I pretty much slide off mine.

200B Seats are too wide, and are designed for fat old men. They'd impede on the handbrake access, which is bad if you like doing handbrake turns.

Mazda RX7 Series 2 seats have the same rail and mounting bolt spacing. Please confirm this before shelling out cash for them.

Cheers,
Chris

no, they're not too wide at all. i had them in my sedan and they fit fine with the adaption i talk of.

and anything is better than the std fixed back vinyl 'buckets' - and i mean ANYTHING.

From memory, I think the seat rails are 400mm apart, I have fitted S15 Silvia Recaro seats to mine and they were the same width apart as my ute. Just added 3/4 box section which adapted the datsun rails to fit and also raised then up a little. They sit a little lower and a little further back, which in the Ute is always a good thing. They are still able to be adjusted forward and back.
