Dave off topic but isn't Hawaiin Gardens one of those neighborhoods where the pachucos hang out? Admittedly it's 30 years since I've been through there and I don't know SoCal intimately.

I actually live across the river from Hawaiian Gardens on the Long Beach side. The city is crap. Basically they told the residents that if they voted to allow the casino they would use the funds to create a police force. They didn't create the police force and instead contract out to the county sheriff. Lots of crime there and yes, pachucos everywhere.

And true, no Hawaiian food IN the city, but just a couple blocks away in Lakewood there is a place called the Loft which has great Hawaiian food.

That is a cool truck but I wouldn't pay $5000 for it!
