The WRX diff is an R-160 (or R180?) unit that is very similar to that found in IRS Datsun's ie: 1600 (P510), 180b (610), and early skylines/
240K's (C210).

The 1200 and other live rear axle datsuns use H-145, H-160, and H190 diffs.

So in short it wont fit a 1200 :(

James.

Not only is the WRX diff for an IRS set-up like a 510 but if it's a LSD it's most probably a viscous one which uses special shafts so it's not even a bolt in on a 510. I have one
of thse for my 510 and have to make custom shafts.

You could always convert you 1200 to IRS
