Adjustable strut tops on 1200 struts

Just looking to see what adjustable strut tops people have used on their 1200 struts. I have a set of solid mount adjustable camber/castor tops but have read they can make the ride a little rough for street use.

Should I look for something that incoporates a pillow bush for a better street ride or is the difference negligible?

Pillow bush helps with the rotation, but won't help with harshness. Spherical bushing helps with angle

The stock-type rubber mount allows angle movement and also isolates suspension shocks from the body

Both of these NOLTEC "street" tops for Datsun 1200 use a polyester bush

This NOLTEC "sport" top for Datsun 1200 uses solid mount

The tops I have are identical to the Noltec Sport. Do you think they will be unsuitable for street use?

Bump ... maybe someone will know? The tops I used were street-style tops

I've got them all fitted up. Just refurbing the simmons before taking it for final adjustments. I'll update with how it rides

I make a lot of street setups using all sorts of cambertops with solid rose joints and don't dint them noisy at all, I run custom billet tops in mine no dramas or clunks

Agreed. I wouldn't expect chunks, thunks or noise. Just more vibration than an isolated version. Although if you have 250lb springs and ultra-low profile tyres already probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference

This might seem like a dumb idea but as far as isolation goes wouldn't a rubber "Gasket/Mould" be a good idea to sandwich in between the camber top and strut tower to soften vibration? I understand the effects of this may be negligible compared to the stock strut tops but in theory wouldn't something like this work?
