ooops forgot this... well mistery is solved anyway. good to see its still getting around

it would be interesting to see the history of some of these 1200s we have. some would have gone through a rediculous lot of work/conversions... oh the stories they could tell

Guess that would be me...!

Some pics of it here.

not many of the actual car yet...

I didn't think it would be mine as it's now missing those cool speed stripes down the sides.

Awesome!!
Really good to see it has gone to a loving home.
I must say I didn't think I would find it, but thanks to this site and it's members I have.
Thanks all for looking out for it.
I have a lot of history for that car, receipts etc, they are no good to me, so let me know if you are interested in them as they are just taking up space in my filing cabinet.
I would love to come and see it in the flesh.

So this story continues after a 10 year gap.
I will start a new build thread shortly.

Looks like the stars aligned and the timing was right. I bought back my original 1200 Ute late last year...but I never lost track of it and always told the new owner to give me first option if he decided to sell.

Are you going to move forward with the CA18DET conversion or return it to the way you had it?

I have seen a 1200 coop like this around Thomastown a few times. I work in the area. Same color and look.
