Unfortunately no engine specs or pics, but the CL ad shows a nicely built-out coupe that has participated in LSR-type competition on Southern California dry lake bed events. http://ventura.craigslist.org/cto/5515915919.html

That car looks to fast to have an A12. Or if it is fast it takes a while to get there.

Seller added a couple of pix of the tidy engine bay. Looks like an A12, complete with the OEM style Hitachi carb. Per his description, the engine internals sound fairly stock. If LSR title chasing isn't your cup of tea, with a little bit of fiddling it could possibly be made street legal again!

Original engine is 1171cc pushrod A-Series 4-cylinder w/Hitachi carb, slight over-bore, header, high-compression head. Engine starts easily, premium or race gas. Car comes with extra block and many parts to begin assembly of a 1500cc engine, Extra used 4-speed transmission, many misc. parts and spares, all build records and manuals. Car weighs approximately 1700lbs. Paint isn't great but there is NO RUST. Aluminum door panels, dash and rear bulkhead. Lexan door glass. Pictures taken at El Mirage Dry Lake do not show fixed Lexan door glass or shaved and narrowed bumpers. Car is also lower in rear now. Car has current California Non-Op registration and title.
