Does anyone know the correct Datsun/Nissan part number for a new clutch fork dust boot cover that will fit the 63A tranny out of a 1978 B210?
They are probably interchangeable with other Datsun/Nissan tranny boots, but not sure without having the correct part number.

Cheers
Roger

63A five-speed was used by:
* 1976.5 to 1978 B210 Coupe North America A14 engine
* 1977-1979 S10 "200SX" North America L20B engine
* 1977-1981 A10 "Datsun 510" OPTION L20B/Z20 engines

The boot is same LHD and RHD (all use hydraulic clutch)

I suppose you don't have the actual part number from the factory parts diagram for any of those models. I only have 3rd party tranny diagrams that don't include part numbers.

Part # 30542-N9000 Dust Cover for 63A

Open in new window

differs from all other B110/B210/B310 boots -- it is rectangle-ish

Similar to but different from 510/240Z (63 4-speed) or 720/280ZX (71B 5-speed) clutch fork boots. Possibly those might work even if shaped a bit different. The newer one looks more flexible

Okay, thanks for the part number on the dust cover for the 63A.
Now to see if I can source one or at least try to match one that will work on the 63A.

I can't seem to find the correct fork dust cover PN 30542-N9000.
However, I did order another one that is for a 1977-1979 200SX and seems to have the same size rectangular opening one the bellhousing.
That part number is 30542-E9000.
I'll give an update as to how well it fits once I receive it from Thailand.

I received the 30543-E9000 dust boot and it fits the clutch fork opening on the 63A tranny. This boot is installed on the outside while the stock original boot protrudes inside the bell housing. It's a little smaller than the tranny opening but it will still be functional.

Just a correction to my previous comment, the part number is 30542-E900 and not 30543-E900.

Good info, glad it worked out. I've added it to our tech article 63-Series Transmission#Release Lever
