did the corolla have a T series option?
the GX would have been only A series right?

Celica ta22 are awesome but much heavier than
any 1200 or 120y and should have been a 6 cylinder

celica should have been a six ... and yet was still much faster than a 1200

B210 GX was available with A12T (83PS) or L14T (95PS) -- see photo "1400 GX" above

Corolla E20 Series was available as K engine or T engine including 115PS 2T-G. I think that's the 77PS KE25 1200 Coupe in the article. TE27 levin had the DOHC

Celicas had the option of the twin cams
but in the end puerto ricans where getting
800+hp from the 1.8 pushrod 3t.
The toyota six was nothing to write home about
even though they were similar to the T series
4 cylinders they were slugs and heavy thirst.

Funny enough theres been so much talk about the
LY motors for the A series yet the T series was
already there for Toyota and in larger capacities.
You could even get a 2.4L stroker using the later
toyota Y engines from the tarago and townaces
which are almost a straight fit in the 3tc.

Was the Celica was also faster than an excellent?
I would have thought the earlier 1200 body with
either the A12gx or A14t engines would be faster
as the 120y body was much heavier.
