A - Humble apologies, I thought the Camaro was in need of TLC

Well i got it all back together, i manage to get the motor in the bay and then connect the gearbox from in the tunnel. The rebuilt stumpy is in and it shifts so much nicer now so i'm very hpappy indeed. I didnt realise how much i missed the car until it hit boost. it's a fun machine for sure.

Next project is caltracs... then drags when isolation is over

Camaro is a '91 Z28, 305 TPI (proper manifold and runner injection) Auto. I really enjoy it, so easy to launch and great torque - basically the opposite of the datto, but the dattos quicker... for now

Keen to see how Caltracs go. Elrich11 has a set he will be putting on his CA ute soon. Hopefully they do a good job of stopping axle tramp.

On the Camaro: I used to have a 1983 Berlinetta Camaro with carby 305..it was a slug!

yeah i test drove a couple of carby ones before this one... they are definate LS swap candidates straight away!.. this is definately nicer and I'm not searching gumtree for LS's yet

last time at drags i couldnt get into 2nd from 1st at high rpm due to gearbox issues. if i launched in 2nd it would tramp like mad. so i really had no way to launch. i think the gearbox+caltracs hopefully = success... but just in case there is always more boost!

Looking much cleaner than mine, small children and renos mean my datto hasn't left the shed in well over a year. I did upgrade the family car to a VF S1 SSV Wagon. LS power is very nice! (If you need any convincing) I'd happily have that drive train in all of my cars.
