Datsun Sunny 1000
B10 4.111 (37:9) sedan & coupe
B10 4.375 (35:8) van
B20 4.625 (37:8) truck

All use the same GEAR CARRIER part number 38310-18000

the bearing cap fit over studs and are secured with nuts

It also does not use the cheap crush sleeve that the cast iron H145 does, but instead has reusable shims

B110 used a cast iron differential carrier

Aside from the carrier case and bearing caps (with bolts), all the parts seem to be the same as the B10, except for the pinion crush sleeve. Datsun competition showed the gearsets interchanging

The case is part number 38310-G0400 COMP-CARRIER GEAR
G04 means designed for C20H 1970 Sunny Cab flatbed

I suppose this why some racers use the alloy B10 diff instead of the B110 cast iron unit

9kg!

Never weighed a B110 actual diff, but it felt like 15kg

5.14 ratio. Seems like a rare ratio

I weighed both the all steel H145 axle and the H190 with aluminum diff housing and brake drums. The H190 was only 2 pounds heavier.
