On the way to work at 545am I split a radiator hose. Coasted to a stop a km away thanks to the lack of emergency bays. By the time I stopped the A12 was making some very evil sounds. I am very worried. I am supposed to be racing on Saturday. Keep you all posted.

oh no! Hopefully it won't be too terminal. Better it happened now than on Sunday anyway.

main thing to check when you get a new hose is for blown headgasket symptoms - head could be warped. Simple & cheap reapair anyway. I have Thursday arvo off, so if you're pressed for time I'll come and give you a hand.

there's nothing worse than that feeling in the pit of your stomach when something goes wrong with your car while driving it.

glad it was an easy fix though and nothing serious.
