I was looking in the tech section on turbocharging and supercharging, trying to debate whether to go blow thru or draw thru, again. Anyways, this picture looks to me like it is blowing staight through the stock carbie. Does anyone know what kind of mods were done to the carb if any? I was reading in their where I think phunk(can't remember the rest, sorry) said the the stock carbie will handle ten p.s.i. blowing thru it. Is this still seeming to be true? I don't plan on running over 8 p.s.i. with upgraded fuel pump, etc. Thanks for the help.

nah its all a fantasy I just make stuff up All the information is there. If you found this, I am sure you can use the search button a few times to find the answers. Then PM me with your questions for finer details of what the carbie needs if you are still uncertain.
Cheers Steve.

i can vouch for phunks statement, i used that theory for my turbo setup, and theres never been evidence of fuel leaks from the carby

mine is blow through and i have used between 7-10psi without boxing the carby with good results

phunkdoktaspok,

I am sorry for the confusion, I was in no way trying to undermine you. I was trying to just figure out who had done this setup, and I am sorry if I came off as being rude. I have read so many books which all seem to contradict themselves, so I am tired of wondering...and I am just going to do it! I will be PMing you and 1200rallycar as well. Thanks.

If the gaskets are all in good order you should be right. The only other place to watch is the throttle shafts. It will spray an extremely combustible mix out through here if they are flogged out. On a dodgy carb I had there were 2 spray patterns on the firewall. It scared me. Run some "boost" pipes to cover these and you should be right. A rebuilt carb didn't exhibit these sprays.

Pipes that will contain "boost", to pressurise the throttle shaft openings to "blow" the fuel back in.
