I relize that the 56 series cant handle the torque of the a 15. the ute was set up this way when I bought it I spent about 18 months doing bodywork and paint before I registered it. the first box failed about 4 months latter I got the second from a fellow enthusiest for $50 to get me out of trouble it too is starting to complain with noise in 1, 2, 3 & neutral. If anyone has a 60 series lying around i would be happy to put it good use.

You will be forking out at least $500-$600 for a 5 slotter. These things dont just lay around collecting dust.

I recon around the NZD650 (AUD580) would see it sitting at our depot in BNE/MEL or SYD, you would then need to customs clear it which is more time consuming than anything else.

Let me know if that doesn't scare you off.

bleudatt,
is the Toyota T50 gearbox an option for you, I have just bought a T50 box from the wreckers for $200 and the Dellows bellhousing kit for the A-series conversion for $715 including the Holden yoke for the tailshaft, Kit comes with everthing you need except pressure plate and tailshaft.
