As a relative newcomer to this site, I'm impressed by the work people put into ther 1200's. Larger engines, custom bodywork and interiors, upgraded transmissions, turbo's and the list goes on. Some of these are truly works of art and my congratulations go to those who have built these. Only seldom do I read about original cars or utes.

I'm curious to know how many original and unmolested 1200's are out there as there can't be too many left.

Sorry for prattling on.

100% orignal. 238557 on the clock and she still goes like a beast. It came close to overheating once since i've been drivin it because i was goin 120 up a hill. I love it, you flog the tits off it and it still goes strong.

Mine is also quite original, except for
-resprayed 11yrs ago, paint faded vinyl top
removed due to cracks
-a14 carbi
-set of mags
-engine overhauled due to bad rings.

Interior is 100% original, including jack, w\spanner and spare tyre.
Still have the original radio, which is now taken out.

Due to the age of the car, it's no longer gonna stay original.
Seats have sunken in, needs a new coat of Paint cause of scratches.

Motor and g\box needs changing , cause of more power wanted.

Originality has been admired by both young and old.
I've seen th eyebrows liftt expecially when overtaking a newer car.

I love my old faithful.

origimal except for 1' taller wheels. (13' vs 12')but they are the same as the orginals so you have to look real close. and if you are that close you are too close.
