Its in a '85 Nissan 720 Kingcab currently on ebay. 1.8L. I would have said this vehicle came with an L18, but the manifolds are on the wrong side, the valve cover is too wide and flat and that strange air cleaner thing... Can anyone tell me what it is?

Nah, CA's have the dizzy on the side of the head, not in the timing cover. It's definitely a NAPS-Z series engine, likely a Z18 if it says 1.8L.

Plus, the CA18E is a timing belt motor, not chain. And I don't think they ever made a carbed one (hence the "E" ).

It is a "Z" series engine if you look close you can see an emoty terminal on the dizzy cap where the exhauast plug wire would go there just not using that side of the ignition.

That would be my guess
