I was just wondering what is the differend between an A12, A14 ,A15 block (appart from the bore sizing). and alos the crank differences. please forgive my ignorances if this has alreay been asked and answered somewere else.

A14/a15 blocks are the same whilst the a12 block is phyically shorter. 10mm or so???

A14=77mm stroke, A15=82mm stroke.

Would the man doing the rego checks spot the fifference between an A12 or an A15 in your datsun 1200 (apart from the engine number?)

yes, they have it "A14" etc in big raised letters on the side of the block , thats apart from the engine no. you could grind that off and repaint the block...
