Are these stanza brakes & struts???? I have looked at photos of 120Y brakes & stanza brakes & they definately look more like Stanza ones.

I think I found the answer myself. They are B310 Sunny Brakes off an A14 or A15 as they are 9.5 inches (245mm) diameter & match the picture from an earlier thread perfectly. Still leaves me with the same problem but explains why it stops good though.

p.s. Yes John I haven't fitted the nice grill, or my new seats or the A14 I picked up or the electric heater demister. It is a slow process unfortunately.

Does anyone know who sells small 25 to 30mm flares (pref in brisbane). As they are going on a sedan I don't want a big flare on the front & none on the back & it doesnt need it any way. Pics would be hepful.

The 50mm ones are smaller than you might think, and from the pics I doubt you will get away with anything less on the front.

Steve Drahiems are 75mm from memory, so they would be out of the question.

Ring Jeff and see if he can supply pairs.

Does anyone have a photo of them fitted as I am worried how they will look on a sedan. Can I fit a rear flare and clear the back door?

RE the rear doors opening. you would simply cut the flare to allow the door to open. There would ba a little more work cutting the rear wheelarch on a sedan (comapered to coupe) but I've had a good look at this one and it wouldn't pose any real problems.

no, those flares are 50mm. But I agree, they're too big in this case.

lionel, the gaurd could be pumped out to clear that without the need for a flare. I had done that to my car before I fitted the flares. I was running 205/60*13 on the front with Stanza struts. It didn't come out show-car straight, but it wasn't bad.

That would definitely be the cheapest option, but it may break the paint if there's filler in the gaurd.

There are smaller universal type flares available like converted has on his new race car. If you can find the photos of his new coupe I think he mentioned who sells them in Sydney.

other options are strut tops and look at the possibility of machining a few mm off the mounting surface of the wheel, if the tops don't quite get the wheel under. It will give quite a lot of negative camber for the road though, and the tops are not cheap. Or getting the struts bent - I'm not a huge fan of this and don't know where you'd get it done in Bris.

L18,

Do you know who can pump the guards in Bris?

I have the same problem with the stanza struts and it only needs to come out a little.

Tyre places have a mobile guy that does it for them but you have to go through them and I would like to deal with the person doing it direct.

I was quoted $50 per side.
