I'd go with you, but it's a bit to far.

Hunting is good fun I wish I did more of it.

Last time I was up in clownsville I saw an "Im a grunterhunter" bumper sticker on a 80 series landy. Classic- it works on so many levels. But no, unfortunatley I've never been.

Used to go heaps, but killed all all the pigs... havnt seen one in 6 months. If anyone buys 'Sporting Shooter' they may have some pics of pigs taken on our farm, my brother had a story published.
Where I hunt the pigs are all small with poor tusks, my biggest would have to be about 60kg I reckon.
had a few 'two-in-one-shot' with the 12ga always fun!

closest I've been to dogging is when the kelpie (sheep dog who gets kicked when he chases pigs ) bailed up a boar in the scrub and I shot it at about 3metres with the ole .303

My dad has 3 bullmastiffs but wont let them hunt. He had a pup we were gonna train as a pig dog, I even caught a 7-8kg piglet to see what would happen when they were released together in a cage, but the little ####er ascaped!

hmmm, long post, sorry

edit: I would give anything to go piggin' up cape york! pigs up there are very impressive.
Also a mate of mine is going to Nynghan (spelling?) next week hunting.

2nd edit: I thought that was funny, the guy called "grunterhunter" hasnt been pig hunting...
how about 'PIGDOG'?

used to go piggin quite a bit back home in Tamworth, up the pine forest or up in the hills behind town.
some biggies up there and some angry buggers, but there arent any quite as big as the fella in the pic...
been a year or two since i been, but love to do it again....
we fed one up on grain for couple of months till he was nice and fat and put him on the spit and id have to say it is some of the best pork ive ever eaten...
never used guns while piggin, just dogs and knives
