Eddie,
Your English pound will go a long way downunder. New Zealand parts are even cheaper than Aussie due to there being more importers and no import duty (tax)Therefore it is easy to pick up a
FJ for $NZ400.00 whereas I see them advertised for over $AUS 1000.00 CA's SR's etc are very common and cheap. There are many importers in NZ who are shipping complete cars to the UK
Skylines, RX7s etc .A friend of mine does it and can land a Nissan 4 cam V8 in NZ for around $NZ400.00 !!! If you are interested in dealing with him let me know.

Hi Davo,

SR20det_man is from South Australia which must have different registration laws to NSW. ACT is the same.
Unfortunately the ####ing states vary so like you,
I can only put in a CA18DET as I live in NSW! An engineer also has to comply with the registration laws, so having a certificate won't make the car legal if it is over the
max engine size for rego.

South Australian rules are much stricter than NSW (from what I've heard) and the conversion I have done has not been and probably can't be RTA approved at all. The first time I
get it started and take it for a drive I could be defected. If that is the case I'll tub it and make a drag car :)

Well Your car is going to fly - probably a huge risk for your licence if you have as many speeding
tickets as I have!

It'd be excellent to see what mods you make to the brakes and diff. Even if you can't register it.

Well, so far I have the front setup with complete stanza struts. My diff is from a Series III Bluebird TRX shortened to fit. At the moment I am looking at fitting a Navara LSD
center!

I haven't got any type of fines yet (I don't want to speak to soon!). Hopefully the car should be setup to pull low 12's if wheel spin isn't an issue. My aim (longterm) is the 9-
10's bracket.
