the mechanic fixing my coupe up for rego said that both my tailshaft uni joints are stuffed.
he said that they send it somewhere to get fixed and it would cost $300!
my mate who races stock cars said that they should only be around $20 each!
does anyone know if im getting ripped off?
and does anyone know why my tailshaft in my other car wont fit this car? the mechanic said the
yokes were different.
i have found that other parts such as seat rails, panels etc arent interchangeable either? why is
that?

thanks
simon

The problem would be your tailshaft has non replacable uni's so the $300 would be for a new shaft of modified to take new uni's $300 sounds a bit steep for mods new shaft sounds
more like it

I just put an a-14 motor and tranny in my 1200 coupe, But the a-14 driveshaft rear joint wont fit the 1200 diff! I dont have a 1200 driveshaft rear joint to add to the a-14
dhaft, so I was wondering if anyone has done this before and if you have any spare 1200 driveshaft joints? Thanks

Why don't you check out your local wreckers for any 1200 tailshafts? I have quite a few 1200 diffs and unijoints to fit if you don't
have any luck.
