hey guys i am not sure what to do with my ute tray i was thinkin of cuttin it out and replacing it with a new sheet of metal but the sheets of metal arent big enough to cover the whole of the tray floor i was wondering if i should use something else like wood or if anyone in the shire knows of a place where they can fabricate a new floor that would be great.

If you buy checkerplate 1.9 mm thick the extra weight is hardly noticeable. Probably only 10 odd kg's heavier. Holds the rear end down nicely.

i replaced the floor of my first project ute...
i remember i couldnt find sheets big enough to do it all in one piece.. so i had a join going across the car between the wheel tubs on the middle chassis rail... i removed the old flooring first (a time consuming job) then welded in the new one....

came up alright for a backyard repair
